Ohio Woman ID'd As Victim Pulled From Tinley Park Pond: Medical Examiner

TINLEY PARK, IL — A woman whose body was pulled from a Tinley Park pond after she drove into it has been identified, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The woman's body was found following an extensive search after a car left the road and drove into a Tinley Park pond Monday night. Authorities knew at the time there was one person in the car when it left the roadway and went into a pond, Carr said.

A bystander attempted to reach the woman in the car, but the vehicle sank too quickly, Carr said. Water rescue crews were on-scene for several hours working to recover the vehicle and the person inside. Officials said Monday that it was not immediately clear what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

The woman's body was recovered with the vehicle. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified her as Aditi Saha, 30, of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Cause and manner of death remain pending Wednesday afternoon, the medical examiner's office said.
