How do you know the star student?

He is my grandson.

Tell us about your star student's accomplishments and why they deserve to be recognized on Patch!

He has been a star student throughout high school, earning top honors every year. He could’ve graduated early but chose not to. He also has two brothers who are both in the Air Force — one just joined two months ago. He attended the same school for four years, where he was the quarterback. His brother who joined before him — the first grandson — also went to Andrew High School and is now five years into his Air Force service. We’re proud of all three, but Evan is quiet, very intelligent and very kind, and would help anybody with anything. He’s not sure if he wants to stay in college after high school or also join his brothers in the Air Force, but he’s a great kid.

What three words best describe your star student?

Kind, smart, strong.
