The Wheaton College Artist Series and Conservatory of Music present Shawn E. Okpebholo and Mark Campbell's The Cook-Off, performed by the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music on October 9 at 7:30pm and October 10 at 2:00pm.
Join us for two incredible performances of The Cook-Off, a comedic and heartfelt opera set in the high-pressure world of a televised cooking competition. Five contestants, each with their own secrets, ambitions, and culinary quirks, face off in a whirlwind of rivalries, alliances, and surprising revelations. Beneath the “mac-and-cheesy” humor and sizzling tension, the opera reveals deeper truths about history, food and culture, legacy, and identity.
