Faculty Artists: Injoo Choi, violin and Sung Hoon Mo, piano perform Schubert, Debussy, and Strauss

Injoo Choi, violin, and Sung Hoon Mo, piano, present an evening of violin and piano duo works that unfold across a wide range of emotional expression. The program opens with Schubert’s Rondeau Brillant, a sparkling and virtuosic work that pairs technical brilliance with singing lyricism and sensitivity. Debussy’s Sonata in G minor follows, offering a richly colored and evocative sound world that suggests the atmosphere and elegance of the French countryside. The evening concludes with Richard Strauss’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat major, Op. 18, a heroic and passionate work filled with sweeping gesture and late Romantic beauty, inviting the audience into its warmth and intensity.
