Road Closures, Parking Restrictions To Take Effect For 4th Of July Events In Wheaton

See how Wheaton's Fourth of July festivities will impact parking and traffic.

WHEATON, IL — Parking restrictions and road closures are set to take effect in Wheaton to accommodate the city's Independence Day parade, fireworks and other activities.

Temporary "no parking" signs will be up in neighborhoods surrounding DuPage County Fairgrounds and Graf Park on July 3. At the fairgrounds, the Manchester Road entrances will not be available, so drivers will need to enter via the entrance on County Farm Road.

On July 4, the following road closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the Fourth of July Parade.

  • Main Street from Cole to Liberty
  • Harrison Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to Cross Street
  • Wheaton Avenue from Franklin Street to Front Street
  • Union Avenue from Main Street to West Street
  • Seminary Avenue from West Street to Scott Street
  • Hale Street from Karlskoga Avenue to Union Avenue
  • Wesley Street from Main Street to West Street
  • Front Street from West Street to Cross Street

Parking will also be limited starting at 11 p.m. on July 3 near the parade.

These parking restrictions are expected to be in effect until 12:30 p.m. on July 4.
