TJ Maxx Hit By Shoplifters, Credit Cards Swiped From Purse, Wallet: Wheaton Crime Blotter

WHEATON, IL — Shoplifters stole items from TJ Maxx on two separate occasions, according to police in Wheaton. Also reported on the city's most recent crime blotter were incidents in which stolen credit cars were used to make unauthorized purchases.

TJ Maxx Retail Theft Incidents

Police were called to the TJ Maxx at 62 Danada Square West on May 8 for a report of a retail theft. A police report said a woman came into the store around 10:30 a.m. and stole luggage.

Another retail theft incident took place at the same store on May 11.According to police, a woman came into the store around 11:15 a.m. and took merchandise without paying.

Credit Card Stolen from Wallet

A credit card was stolen from someone's wallet in the 100 block of Geneva Road on May 14. Police say the card was used at a gas station shortly after it was stolen.

Credit Cards Stolen from Purse

Someone stole credit cards from an unattended purse in the 200 block of Willow Avenue around 1 p.m. on May 16. The victim told police whoever stole the cards used them to make "multiple purchases at multiple locations," a news release said.
