Battered Bicycle: Winnetka, Glencoe Crime Blotters

WINNETKA, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Winnetka Police Department and the Glencoe Public Safety Department.

Winnetka

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

• Bike - Sept. 14 at 7:15 p.m.
  • A resident told police that their parked bicycle was damaged overnight. Police estimated the damage was worth $19.

THEFT

• Identity - Sept. 17 at 3:10 p.m.
  • A resident told police that somebody had opened a Capital One Savor Credit Card with their personal information. Police said the amount of loss exceeded $5,000.

ARRESTS

• Traffic - Sept. 16 at 1 a.m.
  • A 19-year-old Chicago man was arrested and cited for driving with a suspended license.
• Theft - Sept. 20 at 2 a.m.
  • A 149-year-old Morton Grove woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, improper lane usage and making an improper turn.

Glencoe

ARRESTS

• Traffic - Sept. 19
  • A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested and cited for not having a valid driver's license, registration or insurance.
• Traffic - Sept. 20
  • A 35-year-old Chicago woman was arrested and cited for having a suspended registration, not having a valid license and not having insurance.
