Woodridge Families Create Keith Haring-Inspired Pride Mural at Public Library
Collaborating on community chalk mural brings patrons together.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Local families gathered at the Woodridge Public Library to celebrate Pride Month by collaborating on a new community chalk mural. The temporary project, inspired by the iconic pop art style of legendary artist and activist Keith Haring, will remain on public display inside the library's Coloring Nook through July 3, 2026.
Over 30 patrons attended the June 22 Community Pride Pop Shop art program to craft buttons, assemble bracelets, and contribute to the shared chalk mural.
For upcoming Woodridge Public Library programs, free for area residents, registration is required, and details are available on the online Events Calendar.
