The Evergreen Community Center and Library will open for service Monday, February 14. This facility in Wichita's North End will bring together essential community services under one roof to better serve residents. It is located at 2601 N. Arkansas.

"We have missed providing our full services to the North End community and look forward to seeing everyone again for programs, computing and meeting information and educational needs," said Jaime Prothro, Director of Libraries.

The new facility will house the Evergreen Branch Library, the Evergreen Neighborhood Resource Center, Empower, Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation, Salud + Bienestar, Kansas Department for Children & Families, Wichita Police Department and Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department.

Each agency housed at the Evergreen Community Center and Library will have slightly different operating hours.

• Library services will be available 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday
• Neighborhood Resource Center and Empower services will be available 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and will be closed noon-1 p.m. daily for lunch
• All other agencies will operate within the facility's open business hours.

A grand opening celebration is being planned for later this spring.

El Evergreen Centro Comunitario y Biblioteca abrirá sus puertas el lunes 14 de febrero. Esta instalación en el norte de Wichita reunirá los servicios comunitarios esenciales bajo un mismo techo para brindar un mejor servicio a los residentes. Está ubicado en 2601 N. Arkansas.

"Hemos extrañado brindar nuestros servicios completos a la comunidad de la área del norte y esperamos verlos a todos nuevamente para programas, computación y satisfacer las necesidades de información y educación", dijo Jaime Prothro, Directora de Bibliotecas. La nueva instalación albergará la Biblioteca Evergreen, el Centro de Recursos del Vecindario Evergreen, Empower, Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation (Educación Hispana de Kansas y Fundación de Desarrollo), Salud + Bienestar, Departamento de Niños y Familias, Departamento de Policía de Wichita y Metropolitan Area Building Construction Department (Departamento de Construcción de Edificios del Área Metropolitana).

Cada agencia alojada en el Evergreen Centro Comunitario y Biblioteca tendrá un horario de operación ligeramente diferente.

• Los servicios de la biblioteca estarán disponibles de 10 am-8 pm lunes-jueves, 10 am-6 pm viernes-sábado, 1-5 pm domingo
• Los servicios del Centro de Recursos del Vecindario Evergreen y Empower estarán disponibles de 8:30 am-5:30 pm lunes a jueves, 8:30 am-5 pm viernes y estarán cerrados desde el mediodía hasta la 1 pm diario para el almuerzo
