At approximately 5:35 P.M. on January 9, 2022, an off-duty Sedgwick County sheriff’s deputy was alerted to a theft from a business at Harry and Webb. The deputy contacted the suspects of the theft outside of the business. During the contact, one of the suspects drove a vehicle towards the deputy. The deputy fired one round into the vehicle which didn’t strike any of the vehicle occupants. After the shot, the suspects fled in the same vehicle.
A short time later, the Wichita Police Department located the suspects and the vehicle near Oliver and Morris. Lisa Young (55) of Wichita and Able Molina (31) of Wichita were arrested.
