6th Annual Great American Legion Banana Split Celebration

As the 6^th Annual Great American Legion Banana Split Celebration approaches on August 22, we're reminded of the power of giving and the impact it can have on our community. At American Legion Post 16, this is a special time of year when we fundraise for the Northshore Food Bank.

Today we're reaching out to ask for your support for this unique, increasingly popular and family-oriented event. Your participation will help us assist the Northshore Food Bank to provide food assistance to more than 300 individuals and families each week within our community. It also helps Post 16 to fulfill its mission of serving military personnel, their families and the community.

Original recipe banana splits, custom made ones, sundaes or scoops of ice cream will be assembled and served by volunteers from various organizations.  A display of the history of the banana split, door prizes, photo opportunities, a coloring station and some surprises will be provided.   

Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.  They will be available by August 1 at American Legion Post 16, by contacting 985-892-0677 or at the Northshore Food Bank Thrift Store.
