Police sweep grabs six in Penobscot County town of Enfield

Six arrests made following Enfield search warrant.

Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office executes search warrant resulting in multiple arrests Enfield, Maine.

On January 2, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the Mohawk Road in the Town of Enfield. This marks the second search warrant served at this residence in the past few months.
As a result of the operation, Methamphetamine was seized from the residence and several individuals were taken into custody on outstanding failure-to-appear warrants.

Those arrested include:
Samuel Michaud, 56, of Enfield, on three warrants
Alon Whitney, 44, of Enfield, on one warrant – on 2 sets of bail conditions.
Clinton Rhoades, 47, of Enfield, on two warrants – on 3 sets of bail conditions.
Kelly Slobuszewski, 43, of Lagrange, on three warrants
Beau Gagnon, 34, of Lincoln, on one warrant – on 1 set of bail conditions.
Benjamin Jay, 34, of Enfield, on two warrants – on 2 sets of bail conditions
Additionally, Amie LaFountain, 34, of Mattawamkeag, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Scheduled W Drugs.
During the execution of the warrant, Samuel Michaud was located in a crawl space attempting to evade law enforcement. Benjamin Jay, who is currently on probation, was found hiding under a tarp behind a stack of tires in the yard.
Following the initial search, the Lincoln Police Department obtained and executed a second search warrant, resulting in the recovery of stolen property.
This investigation remains ongoing. The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lincoln Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
