Laurel Man Handed Probation After Hiding Camera In Women's Bathroom: Report

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 20-year-old Laurel man was sentenced to three years of probation on Wednesday for installing a camera on a toilet in a women's bathroom, according to a report.

Court records show Tsague Tadonki Jr., a former University of Maryland student, had been facing 24 charges for the February offense. Those charges included eight counts of peeping tom, with the remaining 16 tied to the recording device.

The Banner reported that District Court Judge Thomas Miller III told Tadonki that if he violated his probation, he would be sentenced to at least five years in prison without the possibility of parole.

The sentencing ties back to Tadonki's arrest in February, when Anne Arundel County Police were alerted to the discovery of a camera inside a bathroom stall at the Anne Arundel Community College.

The Capital Gazette reported that the device was found by a faculty member, and that it included recordings of seven women and Tadonki setting up the camera.
