MD Delegate Accused In Assault Case Has Trial Postponed: Report
The state delegate, who represents District 12B, is facing a second-degree assault charge following accusations from a relative.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — State Del. Gary Simmons, who represents District 12B, is set to face a jury trial in connection with an assault charge filed by a family relative, according to a report.
The Capital Gazette reported that a jury trial, instead of a bench trial, was requested by Simmons' lawyer. His trial was originally scheduled to take place Friday.
