The order expands training, emphasizes assistance before punishment, and builds on a statewide program that already helps employers create supportive environments—changes that could influence how public and private workplaces operate in and around Annapolis.
   

• Maryland's 21st Bookmark Contest Opens for Entries (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Families in Annapolis and across Maryland can encourage K-8 students to enter the statewide Conflict Resolution Day Bookmark Art Contest, with entries due Oct. 15. Winners will be honored Dec. 3 at the Administrative Office of the Courts in Annapolis, where hundreds of peace-themed bookmarks will be displayed to promote empathy and positive communication.
