St. Philip’s Church Celebrates Earth Day with Rain Barrel Project
Community Partners Join St. Philip's in Workshop to Learn about Rain Barrel Installations and Stormwater Pollution
ANNAPOLIS, MD (April 28, 2026)
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis celebrated Earth Day on Aprill 22 with a rain barrel installation and workshop.
A group of 100--adults and students--learned from technical parters LimnoTech and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake about the harm that stormwater runoff does to local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay and how to help control that runoff from roofs with rain barrels. They also learned how to install those rain barrels and maintain them as they saw three barrels installed at the church.
