Anne Arundel Co. Man Pleads Guilty to Exploiting Child
A Pasadena man pleaded guilty to exploiting a child and is now facing at least 25 years in prison, authorities say.
ANNE ARUNDEL, MD — Patrick Daniel McKernan, a 45-year-old man of Pasadena, pleaded guilty this week to additional child sex abuse charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland said Monday that McKernan submitted his plea after being charged with the sexual exploitation of a child as he persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct.
The charges stem from a November 2023 incident in which authorities say McKernan produced child sexual abuse images and shared them online, where they were found in a dark web space operated by the Tor Network.
