Back To School Bash Planned For Harford Co. Students

Harford Co. Public Schools invites students and families to the Back to School Bash at Ripken Stadium. They can play catch on the field.

ABERDEEN, MD — Families of Harford County Public Schools students are invited to the Back to School Bash on Aug. 24 at IBEW Local 24 Union Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.

Students and families can meet HCPS Superintendent Dr. Dyann Mack at the Back to School Bash. There will be free back-to-school giveaways all night, and from 6 to 6:25 p.m., kids who bring their own ball and glove can play catch in the outfield.

First pitch for the Aberdeen IronBirds vs. Williamsport Crosscutters game will be at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 (a per-ticket processing fee applies) and can be purchased by clicking here.

Individual schools will set their own open houses or back-to-school nights at their buildings before school starts.

The first day of class for Harford County Public Schools students in grades 1 through 12 will be Aug. 31.

Kindergartners start with half a day of class on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2, followed by a full day of class Sept. 3.

Pre-kindergarteners start with half a day of class Sept. 8 and Sept. 9, followed by a full day of class Sept. 10.
