County Executive Cassilly Welcomes Expansion of Towson University Course Offerings in Harford County
Expanded programs at TUNE strengthen workforce skills, support local businesses, and drive Harford County's economic growth.

On March 14, 2026, Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly welcomed the expansion of certificate and master-level course offerings at Towson University’s facility on the grounds of Harford Community College known as Towson University in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE), furthering the county’s mission of supporting businesses, empowering residents, and fostering a strong, resilient local economy.
The expansion officially launched with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preparation program, designed to equip employees—with focus on companies in manufacturing and technology—with the skills needed to effectively lead projects and improve organizational performance. The PMP program marks the first of many courses expected to be offered at Towson University’s location in Harford County.
County Executive Cassilly delivered welcoming remarks at the start of the first course, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships in preparing a highly skilled workforce and ensuring local businesses remain competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.
“Harford Community College has long been a leader in workforce development in the county,” County Executive Cassilly said. “By expanding Towson University’s certificate and master-level course offerings in the county, we are further demonstrating the county’s broader commitment to partnering with regional employers to strengthen talent pipelines, upskill the workforce and support economic growth through targeted, industry-relevant training offerings.”
