Incumbents Braveboy, Jackson, Carr Win Prince George's Primary Election
Incumbents Aisha Braveboy, county exec, Tara Jackson, state's attorney, and county sheriff John D. B. Carr all won their primaries.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The 2026 primary election was held Tuesday in Prince George's County, and several races remain uncalled heading into Wednesday.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aisha Braveboy was declared the projected winner of the Democratic primary for the office of county executive with 32,520 votes and 71.08%, according to the Associated Press.
At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, incumbent State's Attorney Tara Jackson won with 24,873 votes (54.76%) and incumbent County Sheriff John D. B. Carr captured 34,578 votes (78.8%%) to finish first.

The projected County Council At-Large race winner is Jolene Ivey with 30,399 votes (35.79%). Councilmembers Eric Olson, District 3, Krystal Oriadha, District 7, and Edward Burroughs III, District 8, all ran uncontested.
