Prince George's Schools Announced Schedule Change For Thursday, Friday
School leaders have announced a schedule change for Thursday and Friday. The district was closed for 8 days before reopening Wednesday.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — School officials announced Wednesday there will be a two-hour late start both Thursday and Friday.
Emergency personnel need to report to work on time, officials said.
Vendor managed care programs open at 9 a.m.

There won't be any half-day Early Childhood Center programming, half-day Special Education Programs or half-day pre-kindergarten.
All field trips will be cancelled.

After school activities are cancelled.
Athletic activities will proceed as scheduled.
There won't be any work-study transportation.
Any other school program requiring transportation prior to noon will not have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt).
Food Services will offer breakfast.
Facility use will continue normally.
Schools were closed for eight days as of Tuesday due to weather and road conditions. The district stated this week that not every sidewalk in the 500-square-mile area has been cleared, even with help from county crews.
Wednesday the district reopened with a two-hour late start.
