A shredding day and Styrofoam recycling event are coming up in Bowie. Here's what you need to know.
BOWIE, MD — The city of Bowie will host a free community shredding day June 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The paper shredding and Styrofoam recycling event will take place at the public works solid waste/recycling parking lot located at 16300 Annapolis Road.
Residents can bring up to five tall kitchen bags or five archive boxes for shredding. This event is first come-first served. Three trucks will be dedicated to the event and when all three of the trucks are filled, the event will end, even if it before 2 p.m., officials noted. Residents can watch their documents being destroyed and Styrofoam must be free of any debris, glue or tape).
