Leaders Discuss Proposed Pedestrian, Bicycle Bridge Over Middle Patuxent River

The community can attend a meeting Tuesday night to learn more about a proposed pedestrian and bicycle bridge spanning the Middle Patuxent.

COLUMBIA, MD — The community is invited to attend a meeting Tuesday and learn more about an idea to build a pedestrian and bicycle bridge across the Middle Patuxent River.

This bridge would create a multimodal transportation connection between Kindler Road and Eden Brook Drive, county leaders stated.

During the meeting, county office of transportation staff will be on hand to discuss the concepts created for the feasibility study. The study will present an evaluation of crossing locations and bridge concepts that are feasible based on documentation and field-run topographic surveys.

The meeting will start at 5 p.m. at the King Contrivance Community Center's Amherst House, 7251 Eden Brook Drive, Columbia.
