Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins Under Investigation By Howard County Police

Howard County police are investigating five vehicle break-ins and thefts reported in Columbia and Elkridge.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts reported in Columbia and Elkridge over the past several days.

The incidents include:

Elkridge

  • A vehicle was broken into in the 7100 block of Troy Hill Drive sometime between Saturday and Tuesday, and a license plate was stolen.

Columbia

  • Various items were stolen from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Harpers Farm Road sometime overnight Saturday into Sunday.
  • A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 5600 block of Cedar Lane between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday.
  • A vehicle was broken into in the 10100 block of Cape Ann Drive overnight Saturday into Sunday, though nothing was reported stolen.
  • A vehicle was broken into in the 6300 block of Early Red Court overnight Monday into Tuesday. Police said it was unclear whether anything was stolen.

The incidents remain under investigation.
