Road Construction Project To Begin Later This Month
Drivers should be aware of an upcoming road construction project creating six raised intersections and one pedestrian refuge island.
COLUMBIA, MD — Later this month, construction will begin on the Cradlerock Way Complete Street capital improvement project, which will be done in eight phases.
Designed to improve the flow of traffic and safety in this area, the project call for six raised intersections and one pedestrian refuge island.
Weather permitting, the first of eight phases will wrap up by late January 2027.

Signs will be posted to let drivers and residents know about the project and help traffic navigate through the work zone as needed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 90 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Complete Streets Policy "creates neighborhood connections and provides our residents safe and healthy transportation options to move around their communities," stated Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.
