Teen Arrested In Robbery Of Columbia Tobacco Store

A 15-year-old from Baltimore has been arrested in connection to the robbery of the Royal Tobacco in Columbia, police say.

COLUMBIA, MD — A 15-year-old boy from Baltimore has been arrested and charged in connection to the robbery of the Royal Tobacco in Columbia.

The incident happened Aug. 10 around 12:45 p.m. at the store, which is located in the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road in Columbia.

A store employee told Howard County Police that the teenage boy stole merchandise, threatened the employee and indicated he had a weapon on him before taking off. No one was injured, police stated.

Howard County police officers arrived at the business, found the suspect nearby and arrested him. He has been charged with robbery, assault and theft.
