Fatal Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation In Baltimore Co.
A 78-year-old man died Friday evening after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Merritt Boulevard and Wise Avenue in Dundalk.
DUNDALK, MD — A fatal pedestrian crash that took place in Dundalk late Friday is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Department.
Baltimore County police said the incident took place at about 6:40 p.m. at the intersections of Merritt Boulevard and Wise Avenue, where officials found 78-year-old Mark Hoerner.
Hoerner, who had been pinned beneath a car, was pronounced dead after being transferred to a hospital.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver of a 2014 Toyota Prius was traveling northbound when the crash happened. Police said neither the driver of the Prius nor the two passengers in the car suffered any injuries.
The department has not released any details regarding the cause of the collision. An investigation remains ongoing.
