Frederick Man Identified By Police In Fatal MoCo Crash
Montgomery County Police identified 67-year-old Harold Christopher Christner as the man killed in Saturday's fatal crash in Damascus.

DAMASCUS, MD — Harold Christopher Christner, a 67-year-old man from Frederick, was identified as the man killed in Saturday's crash in Damascus.
Montgomery County Police said the crash took place Saturday morning on the 24000 block of Ridge Road and involved a gray 2023 Ford Transit van and a black 2024 Chrysler Pacifica.
Christner was a second-row passenger in the Chrysler Pacifica. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the transit van and the three adults and one child riding in the Chrysler were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

While the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, police said no alcohol or drug impairment is suspected.
Preliminary findings in the case indicated the transit van was traveling on the northbound lanes of Ridge Road as the Chrysler was traveling southbound. The two cars crashed approximately 440 feet north of Hawkes Road.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
