Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Transit Bus In Glen Burnie: Police
A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash that involved a bus on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 51-year-old man died Friday in Glen Burnie after his motorcycle crashed into a bus.
Anne Arundel County Police was alerted to the incident near the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Holsum Way around 12 p.m. on Friday.
At the scene, investigators determined the motorcyclist crashed into the side of a 2023 Ford E450 transit bus as it was making a left turn onto Holsum Way from the southbound lanes of Ritchie Highway.

Police said the transit bus made the turn "on a green signal," and that a "high rate of speed" played a factor in the crash.
Neither the 39-year-old woman driving the bus nor the man driving the 2005 Suzuki motorcycle were identified.

The woman did not suffer any injuries in the crash, according to authorities.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
