E-Scooter Driver Suffers Serious Injuries After Kensington Crash: Police

Montgomery County Police said the collision between a car and an e-scooter occurred near the Kensington Shopping Center.

KENSINGTON, MD — A man driving an electric scooter was hospitalized late Thursday after being involved in a collision in Kensington, police said.

Montgomery County Police said the crash took place near the intersection of Connecticut and Knowles avenues, near the Kensington Shopping Center.

Police had arrived at the scene shortly before 10 p.m.

The e-scooter driver was taken to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said, adding that the driver of the involved car was located.

The department did not say what led to the crash or state whether any charges were pending in the case.
