“It reflects years of listening, planning, and partnership. We heard clearly from the Parkville community about what is needed, and today we move forward with confidence, hope, and a deep sense of responsibility to serve well.”
The event will be held rain or shine, according to organizers.
Construction for the new community center will include build-outs for a community cafe, food pantry, youth programming classrooms, community green spaces and hot showers for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The work is being carried out in partnership with the Mountain Christian Church.
