Baltimore County Police Provide Update On Parkville Bus Crash

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — An investigation into a Parkville crash that involved a school bus is officially underway in Baltimore County.

A Wednesday update provided by the Baltimore County Police Department confirmed that the county school bus was being used to transport students from the Maryland School for the Blind at the time of the crash.

Officials said the incident, which occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. on the 7800 block of Harford Road, unfolded after a 2017 Ford Focus veered into the northbound lanes of Harford Road.

The car had been traveling on the southbound lanes when, for reasons still not publicly released, it crossed into the path of the bus before striking a 2014 Nissan Altima.

As the bus ultimately collided with a commercial building on the 8700 block of Harford Road, authorities said at least 11 people were injured as a result of the incident.

The latest update provided by the Baltimore County Fire Department said two adults and one child were hospitalized with minor injuries. At least eight others were evaluated at the scene.
