Baltimore Co. Comes Together To Help High School Athletes: Report

ESSEX, MD — A group of Chesapeake High School football players recently received a welcome surprise after finding out the team was short on helmets this year, according to a report.

With some players facing the possibility of sitting on the sidelines, a call for help put out to the Essex Community Development Corporation saw the team's troubles quickly eased, WMAR reported.

"I can't explain how much it means to the kids," Chris Acab, the school's PE and Health Department Chair, told the outlet.
