Former Perry Hall Teacher To Serve 15 Years On Sex Abuse Charges: Report

PERRY HALL, MD — A gym teacher previously employed by Baltimore County Public Schools will serve 15 years in prison in connection with a sex abuse case involving a minor, according to a report.

Citing the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office, CBS Baltimore reported that Sean Brooks was sentenced to 25 years in prison with all but 15 years suspended. He is expected to serve five years of supervised probation once released and register as a sex offender.

Brooks, who once worked at Perry Hall High School, was initially arrested in June 2025. In April, the 40-year-old former teacher pleaded guilty to assault and sexually abusing a minor, among other offenses.

At the time, Baltimore County Police said in a release that Brooks' arrest was tied to incidents that had "occurred on school premises."
