Skeletal Remains Found In Maryland Belong To Missing NJ Woman: Police

Baltimore County Police confirmed recently discovered skeletal remains as those of missing New Jersey woman Kimberly Gordon.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department confirmed Thursday that the skeletal remains found earlier this month were those of a missing New Jersey woman.

The department said in a release that the remains "have been positively identified as those of 46-year-old Kimberly Gordon."

Gordon had been last seen around 2 p.m. on June 21 behind a Sky Zone at 8645 Pulaski Highway, police said. She was reported missing by the Lopatcong Township Police Department in New Jersey.

Authorities first announced the discovery of skeletal remains in a tributary of Back River on July 17.

At the time, police had responded to reports of badly decomposed remains that were found near the interchange of state Route 702 and Interstate 695 in the Essex area.
