Detroit-Style Pizzeria To Open New Montgomery County Branch: Report
Pizza Monkey is expanding its presence in Rockville, with plans underway to open off Chapman Avenue.
ROCKVILLE, MD — If Detroit-style pizza is your favorite pie variety, then you're in luck: Pizza Monkey is in the process of setting up at a new location in Montgomery County.
Pizza Monkey is said to be in the process of opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 2009 Chapman Ave. in Rockville, about three miles from its current base.
The new space, according to the MoCo Show, previously housed Gilly's Craft Beer & Fine Wine for nearly 20 years before it closed last year.

The pizzeria currently operates out of its site on 330 North Stonestreet Avenue. The shop is open Wednesday through Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Tuesday, orders are processed 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
