Police Identify Man Who Died After Crashing Into Utility Pole
A Silver Spring man was identified Monday as the man killed after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the Glenmont area.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Cristhian Francisco Trejo Portillo, a 33-year-old from Silver Spring, was identified Monday as the man killed over the weekend after his car crashed into a wooden utility pole, flipping over his SUV.
Montgomery County Police identified said the crash happened near Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road in the Glenmont area. First responders were called to the site at 1:17 a.m. for a report of a single-car crash.
At the scene, authorities determined Portillo was driving his Cadillac Escalade northbound on Georgia Avenue when, for reasons still unknown, he left the roadway and hit a utility pole.
