103-Year-Old Bridge 'Off Limits' To BCPS Buses: Report

Built in the early 1920s in Cockeysville, the Warren Road Bridge is again drawing safety concerns in Baltimore County.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A bridge dating back more than 100 years is being listed as off-limits to school buses, according to a report.

An investigation by WBAL found that buses operated by Baltimore County Public Schools are being detoured away from the Warren Road Bridge over safety concerns.

The bridge was built in 1923 over the Loch Raven Reservoir in Cockeysville, and has repeatedly prompted concern for its worsening deterioration.
