Baltimore Co. Man Found Guilty In Son's Fatal Shooting: Report
Mark Jones Jr. was facing second-degree murder and related charges for the fatal Christmas Eve shooting in 2024 that killed his son.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Mark Jones Jr, a 31-year-old man from Rosedale, was found guilty of second-degree murder Tuesday for the fatal 2024 shooting that killed his son, according to The Banner.
The shooting took place on Christmas Eve in 2024 after Jones got into a dispute with Promyss Marcelle, the mother of his two young children — four-year-old Jacobi and one-year-old Peyton. Both Marcelle and Peyton suffered injuries.
A sentencing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 11.
