Gwynn Oak Man Charged In Fatal Towson Shooting: Police
The 37-year-old man from Gwynn Oak is facing a first-degree murder charge following the fatal Aug. 2 shooting of a Towson mother.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Michael Burnett, a 37-year-old man from Gwynn Oak, was arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Towson.
The Baltimore County Police Department announced the arrest late Monday, stating Burnett was charged with first-degree murder and felony use of a firearm.
Both charges stem from the fatal shooting of 32-year-old India Johnson, who was pronounced dead on Aug. 2 in the unit block of Treeway Court.

Documents reviewed by Fox 45 state Burnett was connected to the murder through witness statements, motor vehicle records, cellphone data and surveillance footage.
The outlet reported Johnson and Burnett were fighting before the shooting, and that Johnson's son messaged his aunt to have her call the police. At the home, authorities found the son, his sister and a cousin hiding in a bedroom.

Court records show Burnett remains held without bond. A bail hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
