Jones Leads Race For County Executive: Baltimore Co. Primary Results 2026

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Several races remain uncalled in Baltimore County after thousands of residents turned out Tuesday to file their ballots in the 2026 primary election.
Heading into Wednesday, Patch will continue to follow key races in Baltimore County, such as county executive and seats on the County Council.

As of 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, Julian Jones was the lead democrat for the county executive posting with over 40% of the votes, as Patrick Dyer led the Republican candidates after clinching just over 65% of the ballots.

The outcome of the races will heavily impact critical decision-making on the county's budgetary, planning and development, housing and school policies.
One of the key races in the 2026 cycle is for the county executive, which three current councilmembers — Pat Young, Izzy Patoka and Julian Jones — are competing for.
Results for all races will also be available on the Maryland Department of Elections website.
