3 MA Resorts Land On New List From Prestigious Travel Magazine

Looking for a summer getaway that's close to home? Three resorts in Massachusetts made Travel + Leisure's list of the best resorts in New England.

More than 661,000 votes were cast in this year's survey for the World's Best Awards 2026, which included everything from city and island escapes to airlines and hotels.

The magazine's readers "continue to search for hotels and experiences that draw them in—those with a rich backstory, entrancing interiors, and an authentic sense of place."

The Massachusetts resorts on the list include:

• Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Edgartown. The Martha's Vineyard property has been family-owned since 1968, offering oceanview dining, children's programs, excursions and more.
• The Nantucket Hotel and Resort. This year-round hotel and resort near the Brant Point neighborhood has been welcoming guests since 1891. The spot is the inspiration for Elin Hilderbrand's novel "The Hotel Nantucket."
• White Elephant Hotel in Nantucket. This resort offers harbor views from private balconies overlooking a marina, along with complimentary bicycles and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Travel + Leisure's list also includes nearby tourist hotpots like Mystic, Connecticut, and Newport, Rhode Island.
