Find Out When Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds Return To Massachusetts

Ruby-throated hummingbirds are on their way back to Massachusetts after spending the winter in Mexico.

Expect the tiny flyers to arrive in the Bay State in the first half of May, according to AccuWeather.

"Hummingbird fans rejoice!" AccuWeather said in a social media post. "The ruby-throated hummingbirds are on their way back to the eastern US after spending the winter in Mexico and South America."

Some of the ruby-throated hummingbirds will be merely passing through Massachusetts on their way farther north as they migrate all the way to Canada.

In the fall, the ruby-throated hummingbird embarks on its epic journey back south, heading for Mexico and beyond.
