Northampton Coca-Cola Plant Closing At Year's End

The Coca-Cola company is laying off 175 workers between Aug. 15 and Nov. 30.

NORTHHAMPTON, MA — Coca-Cola is closing its Northampton plant and laying off 175 workers.

"The Coca-Cola Company is moving forward with plans to close its production facility in Northampton, Mass., by the end of 2026," a company spokesperson said in an email.

"The company is grateful to have been part of the Northampton community for many years," the email said.

"While employees have been aware of these plans for some time, the company is issuing formal notices now to provide as much advance notice as possible," according to the email. "The company is committed to supporting employees through this transition, including working closely with the state to identify new job opportunities."

A state Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification said 175 workers will be laid off from the plant from Aug, 15 through Nov. 30.

Other June Massachusetts WARN notices include 127 layoffs from Community Healthlink, 103 from Jabil and 72 from Chase.
