Worship With Us! Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost

This Sunday, September 6th, Jesus gives us a strange kind of instruction manual for what to do when we hurt someone: go to them, alone, and say what happened. No gossip, no gathering allies first, no letting it fester into distance. Paired with Paul's insistence that love is the whole of the law, Matthew 18 asks something difficult and something hopeful at once that reconciliation, however uncomfortable, is where we are most likely to find Christ waiting.

Rev. Karen will share a story from her years in prison ministry; of a young woman she came to know and the moment that woman chose to sit face to face with someone she had every reason never to meet.

Come ready to think about the hard conversations you have been avoiding, and what it might mean to have that conversation, and to have it with love.
