On Sunday, July 5, 12:30-2PM, the Tiny Shed Arts & Discovery Series continues with a novel, genre-blending match-up, as internationally touring guitarist and composer Nathaniel Braddock joins up in a collaboration with poet Steven Cramer.

Musician, composer, and educator Nathaniel Braddock performs solo acoustic fingerstyle guitar music, and leads the Boston-based groups Maison Électronique and Done Gone. He has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Music Meeting Nijmegen, Pitchfork Festival, the Whitney Biennial, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and many other venues. He has traveled extensively in Africa and collaborated with musicians from Ghana, Uganda, DR Congo, Mali, Zambia, Tanzania, Mocambique, and Guinea, including Jupiter et Okwess, Balla Kouyate, and Koo Nimo. Nathaniel is presently completing a dissertation on Central African guitar music. He teaches as Boston University, Northeastern, and Salem State.

Cramer is the author of seven poetry collections, has earned honors from Massachusetts Cultural Council and National Endowment for the Arts, and has taught Bennington College, Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tufts University, and Lesley University, where he founded the Low-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing.

About the Arlington Tiny Shed Arts Series

The Tiny Shed Arts & Discovery Series brings live music, pop-up arts and crafts workshops, art exhibits, and more to the heart of Arlington every weekend from May to October. The series includes a performance by a local band every Sunday afternoon from 12:30 to 2 pm.

The Tiny Shed Series is hosted at the Arlington Visitor Center, located next to Uncle Sam Plaza in Arlington Center, by the Minute Bikeway at the intersection of Mass Ave and Mystic Street. The Visitor Center is open every Saturday and Sunday for the May to October season.

A collaboration of the Arlington Tourism & Economic Development Committee and ArtsArlington, The Tiny Shed Series is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and Mirak Properties. May events are in partnership with Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area during the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History.
