2 Semis Involved In Fatal Crash But No Truckers Stuck Around: DA
A Mansfield man was killed in the three-vehicle wreck, according to the Bristol District Attorney's Office.
ATTLEBORO, RI — A Mansfield man was killed in a three-vehicle wreck involving two semitrailers but neither truck driver could be found by the time police arrived, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
Chad Askew, 43, was killed in the crash, the district attorney's office said in a media release.

Askew was found mortally injured in a Honda Civic that had crashed into a semitrailer on Interstate 95 in Attleboro about 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the release.

Askew died shortly after he was taken to a local hospital, the release said.

A white trailer without a tractor and a red Volvo tractor with an attached trailer were found in the breakdown lane, but there were "operators or attendants" with the rigs, according to the release.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
