Barnstable Town Council To Consider Grant For Hyannis Main Street Improvements

Barnstable is considering a grant that could bring major improvements to Main Street in Hyannis.

BARNSTABLE, MA —Major improvements could be coming to the east end of Main Street in Hyannis as Barnstable officials consider a multimillion-dollar state grant.

On Thursday, Oct. 15, the Barnstable Town Council is scheduled to discuss a $2.275 million grant that would support streetscape improvements along the popular downtown corridor.

If approved, the grant would allow the town to contract for the proposed work and spend the funds on improvements.
