BOAT AMERICA COURSE--IMPROVE YOUR BOATING SKILLS
MEETS THE NEW MA-MANDATED HANSON-MILONE BOATING
CERTIFICATE LAW
Offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary – Nauset Flotilla
Massachusetts’ Hanson–Milone Act now requires boating safety education for many motorboat operators, with mandatory compliance deadlines:
•Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989, must complete a boating safety course this year
•Anyone born before January 1, 1989, must comply by 2028
To help local boaters meet these requirements, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary – Nauset Flotilla offers the Boat America® Boating Safety Course, which meets Massachusetts boating safety education requirements.
