Beverly's Endicott College Climbs In U.S. News Regional University Rankings

BEVERLY, MA — Endicott College climbed 19 spots to No. 19 among Regional Universities North in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, the highest placement the school has received from the publication.

The move follows a No. 38 overall ranking among Regional Universities North in the 2026 rankings. Endicott also moved up one spot to No. 16 nationally for Co-ops/Internships, a category tied to the school's longstanding emphasis on experiential learning.

Endicott said its internship model has been a defining part of the college since its founding in 1939. The school said it pioneered a required internship model and has continued to center classroom learning on professional experience through what it calls the Endicott Experiential Edge.

"This recognition reflects the momentum that Endicott has demonstrated since its founding in 1939," said President Bryan Cain. "We’'ve never been interested in standing still. Higher education is changing quickly, and our responsibility has always been to keep evolving with it while holding tightly to what has always distinguished an Endicott education: exceptional teaching and, through the Endicott Experiential Edge, learning that connects directly to the world beyond the classroom."

The college also rose to No. 5 among Most Innovative Schools in the North, up three spots from last year. In Best Undergraduate Teaching, Endicott moved from No. 11 to No. 2, another major jump in the 2027 rankings.

Endicott credited the innovation ranking to continued investment in academic programs and approaches aimed at a changing workforce. The college pointed to its new B.S. in Artificial Intelligence & Analytics Management, which it said will launch in fall 2027 and prepare students to evaluate, deploy and manage AI technologies in real-world organizations.

"At Endicott, innovation isn't about chasing the latest trend,” Cain added. "It's about asking what our students will need five, 10, and 20 years from now and having the courage and resources to build toward that future today. To see Endicott recognized both for innovation and for the quality of our undergraduate teaching is especially meaningful, because we believe those two things should go hand in hand."

Additional 2027 U.S. News rankings for Endicott included No. 12 among Top Private Colleges in the Regional Universities North category and No. 48 among Best Value Schools in the same regional group.
